Small - Approximately 9-¾” x 14-½” x 1-¼” thick
Medium - Approximately 12” x 18” x 1-½” thick
Large - Approximately 16” x 22” x 1-½” thick
In these easy to follow plans I'll walk you through how I build this end grain board from start to finish including:
- Which wood species to use
- Quantity and size of the parts needed for All Three Sizes!
- Best order for cutting and gluing the parts
- Creating the final pattern
- Sanding & finishing tips
Once purchase is completed you'll be able to download the .pdf file containing the full color plans. You may use these plans to create your own board and print if needed.

Quality plans! Quality details. Great support! So many of these plans are "cookie cutter" and that is the end of it. Not so much with Evolution. Got a question? email them! VERY RESPONSIVE and understanding and they want to help you succeed. Herb is great at soliciting feedback and trying to clarify any questions with his plans. MAKE SURE you watch the YouTube videos as these provide great context. For me, I missed this because the first thing I did was to print off the plans and to bring them to the workshop. One thing you quickly realize is that the original creators of these cutting boards is they spend A LOT of time prototyping the end product. They are truly unique and it is a real challenge to put that experience to paper. I think Evolution does a GREAT JOB and I can say I have had a high degree of success following their plans! The prices are very reasonable considering the support that comes along with it. I have purchased 6 plans and look forward to completing each of them! Glad I found Evolution Woodworks. I look forward to their future products for builders/creators.

The plans where clear. I would recommend them to woodworkers with some experience.
I think it would help if there was a sizing chart for different size finished boards. If you want a 24" x 16" finished board you will need x material.
Great set of instructions! Clear, to the point and very little confusion with really good illustrations!
